【阿里山火车Ali mountain forestrailway】

阿里山森林铁路从嘉义北门站到阿里山站，全长共71.4公里。

可分成两个部分，

即北门到竹崎14.2公里的平地路段、

以及竹崎至阿里山57.2公里的山地路段，

沿途分设有十七个车站，

阿里山森林铁路同时也是台湾第一的高山火车，

同时是文建会极力争取成为市世界遗产保存的重点。

这条昔日用来运送木材的森林铁道跨越了热带、温带、寒带三个气候区，

也驶过昔日因运送木材而繁荣的小站，

往日风华虽已不在，

但小火车独特迷人的怀旧气息仍存人们心中 。

Ali mountain forest railway is fromChiayi North door station to Ali station, full length is 71.4 km, which can be separatedinto 2parts. One is form North Road to bamboo Okazaki 14.2 km of Plainssections, and the other one is from the bamboo Okazaki to Ali 57.2 km ofmountain sections, also , there are 17 stations among the full trip. Alishansmall train is Taiwan's first mountain trains, as well as Council's bid tobecome the focus of the urban world heritage preservation, which once used totransport the timber across tropical, temperate and boreal forest railway, threeclimatic regions, also pass through once-prosperous because of transportingwood station.  Although past elegance isgone, unique nostalgic atmosphere of the charming small train remainingpeople's minds.

【奋起湖车库园区Garage】

「车库」是火车头休息的地方，

在阿里山铁道还是蒸气火车的时代，

奋起湖是阿里山铁道中途最大站，

也是阿里山蒸气火车头上山、下山接驳的交换站。

因其不仅具建筑特色，

且具铁道文化特殊价值，

因此指定为县定古迹。

【阿里山神木SacredTree】

最适合观赏阿里山日出的地点是祝山，

可从阿里山火车站搭短程火车前往。

在三、四月，阿里山森林游乐区会开满漂亮的粉红色和白色樱花。

虽然最原始的三千年「神木」已于一九九七年倒塌，

阿里山仍有许多巨大红桧。

四、五月的阿里山萤火虫节有导览行程，

但这里终年都见得到萤火虫。

The best place to watch the Alishansunrise is Zhushan, which can be reached by a short train ride from AlishanTrain Station.In March and April, the Alishan Forest Recreation Area is filledwith beautiful pink and white cherry blossoms.Although the original3,000-year-old “Sacred Tree” collapsed in 1997, Alishan still has many giantred cypress trees.Guided tours are available during the Alishan FireflyFestival in April and May, but fireflies can be seen here year-round.
